November 2007 Blender Classes
Here are some pictures from our November, 2007 Blender Class here in Kingsport Tennessee. We had a wonderful group of people come together from near and far. Each person added a lot of creativity and spontaneity to our experience.
Front Row from left to right are Javed James, Calvin James, Matt Runion, Bahiy Watson, Markus Schultz
Back Row from left to right are Mike Chesman, Bob Smithwick, Rob Scott and Calvin Scott.
Our pace was outrageous, cramming modeling a character, rigging the character, skinning and weight painting, shape keys, drivers, the Action Editor and the NLA editor into one day. We even added an offset to the master bone to get our character to move along in a straight path. With this speed we obviously could not cover all that Blender has to offer, but hoped to get enough information across to allow those who attended to continue on their own.
Matt Runion has offered to teach a section next year on the new hair system when it comes out. Markus Schultz, brought a beautiful animation of a calculator he made after our first class in September.
Bahiy Watson drove all night from New Orleans to attend part 1 and part 2. Calvin and Javid James drove all the way from Stone Mountain, Georgia. I was humbled by the dedication to learning that everyone in the class demonstrated.
Thank you all.
Sincerely,
Byron R. Kindig
